For a few updates,
Thanks to everyone for coming out to the Divisional Council Meeting on Saturday. We had a great turnout with 6 schools in attendance. At the DCM , we decided to up our original goal of 25 Chemo patient care baskets to 40 of these baskets. We are short a few baskets, plastic shrink wrap, and some sort of filler such as tissue paper or paper grass to go in the baskets. If you or your club could donate some of these items, please contact me asap.
Don’t forget this upcoming Thursday Feb. 25th from 3-5 pm at SCHS we will be meeting to construct the baskets. If your club is participating in the project please send a few members from your club to bring the items and help put them together. And don’t worry if you are late due to your school getting out later, just come on. We will have media coverage for this.
If Sullivan County Schools are closed for snow this day, then the project will be rescheduled for the following week.
Our Spring Rally will be here in 3 weeks on Sunday March 7th from 2-4 pm at Sullivan North High School. Registration will begin at 1:30, so please be on time. It is very important that each club send members to this rally to be delegates in the voting process. Also each club should come with a member in mind to nominate for the divisional Most Outstanding Key Clubber, which will be decided by an informal interview before judges and be graded on their Key Club accomplishments and more.
The Key Club annual achievement report for the 2009-2010 year is avilable to download at www.keyclub.org . This form may be filled out digitally and printed or printed and hand written. Either way this form is a required document that Key Club International asks for. The form is also reviewed by the district for some awards at district convention. so make sure you get this filled out.
The registration deadline for district convention is February 23rd, make sure you get your forms in by this date to avoid late fees. Also please review you convention packet that your club should have received in the mail and in your email. This packet includes all of the forms for registering, convention awards, and scholarships. Don’t miss out on these!
